Shared Access Overview

Shared Access is designed for teams using Restore on shared devices, like a wall-mounted iPad. Instead of signing in and out with an email and password, users can quickly access their accounts using a PIN.

How to Set Up Shared Access

  1. Invite a new user to your team and assign them Viewer permissions.

  2. Sign in on the shared device using the Viewer user's email and password.

  3. Your team can then use their unique PINs to sign in and out on top of the account with Shared Access.

Note: You can assign a PIN during the user invitation process or later by editing their profile. Learn more about Managing Users.

How to Use Shared Access

  1. Tap the Shared Access button (door icon) at the top-left of the screen.

  2. Enter your unique PIN and tap Sign In.

  3. To sign out, tap the Shared Access button again.

Tip: You don't have to sign in directly to Shared Access. Simply enter your PIN when prompted to complete an action.
